Payment by card and e-wallet increased dramatically in Vietnam following the Covid-19 pandemic.

Since the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people who have begun to use cashless payments has increased dramatically.

The electronic payment company - Visa, announced the results of the most recent market survey on the payment habits of Vietnamese people on June 1, 2022.

According to the findings of the survey, consumers have quickly embraced digital payment methods. Approximately half of Vietnamese consumers have begun to use cards more frequently, while 64% and 63% of consumers have increased their use of contactless payments via mobile phones and e-wallets. Furthermore, following the pandemic, those polled expressed the greatest desire to spend money on travel, particularly domestic trips (25% of those surveyed).
