According to the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), 48 non-banking organizations are currently licensed to provide intermediary payment services (IPS).
In particular, from June 2021 onwards, only 5 companies have been newly licensed, including: Galaxy Pay, Cititek, GCOP, HTP and NEO Pay.
Although Vietnam's e-payment market is forecasted to have great potential, there are numerous challenges because the majority of the market is currently occupied by'super apps' such as Momo, VNPay, Zalo Pay, Viettel Pay, ShopeePay...
